  • James Reinhart

    James Reinhart

    James is a serial entrepreneur and recent graduate of the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School where he was both a Bill George Fellow at the Center for Public Leadership and an HBS Goldsmith Fellow. Prior to HBS/HKS, while working in the Bay Area, he helped build one of the nation's premier public schools, Pacific Collegiate School - recently named the #3 school in America by US News & World Report. He is a product of New Jersey public schools and Boston College.

    Oliver, Lead UI Designer, was previously the Technology Director at Foley Hoag LLP. Prior to joining Foley, Oliver earned a Master of Science in Healthcare Technology Management at Marquette University. He has worked in marketing and technology consulting for the past six years and holds a degree in Computer Science from Boston College.

  • Chris Homer

    Chris Homer

    Chris leads the engineering team as they build the thredUP platform. His primary focus is on setting the technical direction for the company and building a tight group of talented developers. Chris is an inventor and a tinkerer that can't wait to talk big ideas and think about how to solve the inherent technical challenges. In his previous life, he worked at Microsoft before focusing on building something from the ground up. He holds a BS in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

  • John Voris

    John Voris

    John spent four years as Director and Vice President of Operations Engineering at Netflix, developing solutions for automating millions of transactions per day. As Chief Systems Officer for Qwikster, he built the team to manage and divest the DVD financial, billing, metadata, logistics and content management systems. Previously, he was the founding principle of the John Voris Industrial Engineering Group, specializing in new product introductions, aggressive production ramps and operations development for companies like SpaceX, Cisco Systems, Fox Racing, and Shutterfly. He is an advisor for Shipwire, a fast growing logistics provider.

    Lauren is passionate about introducing people to products and services that make life better and building the brands and teams behind the scenes that make that possible. Prior to thredUP, Lauren worked on launching AOL's next-generation communication products and spent five years at Google where she led the industry marketing team and helped open the India operation for the company's advertising division. She earned her B.A at the University of California, Berkeley and holds an MBA from the University of Michigan. Things sure to put a smile on Lauren's face are border collies, a new pair of running shoes and a plane ticket.

    Eric has enjoyed a long career directing the branding and marketing strategies for some of the most successful thrift store operations in the world. Little did he know that his quest for the Holy Grail of Resale would lead him here, where now he searches high and low for great clothes that will thrill thredUP moms and contribute to sustainability. He shares his life with an amazing DIY polymath who reuses, recycles and repurposes used goods into creative crafts, fine furniture and fabulous fashions. In quieter moments, Eric reads and sometimes fancies himself a writer and ambigramist.

    Karen has a strong and developing expertise in Public Relations, Marketing & Social Media. Previously, she worked at a communications agency, building targeted PR campaigns and securing top tier media hits. Currently, Karen spends her days getting perfectly crafted thredUP messages out to anyone who will listen. She's a graduate of Connecticut College with a degree in American Studies.

    Michelle is intrigued by the intersection of user research, product development, good design and start-up life. Prior to thredUP, she co-founded and drove product at ShopWell, served as product lead/designer at IDEO (with clients including Procter & Gamble, HP and the Kellogg Foundation), dreamed up new toys for University Games and VTech, and dabbled in aerospace at Lockheed Martin. She holds an M.S. in Product Design and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford.

    John has been involved in bay area startups since 2010. He has been doing mobile apps since 2011 and his first app was the JiffPad, which was featured in TechCrunch Disrupt. Before startups, John worked as an engineer at Orbitz.com in Chicago, on a team responsible for providing backend services for 3.5 million searches and 60,000 flight bookings per day. He holds a Computer Engineering degree from Michigan Technological University.

    After spending two years in Los Angeles working for a start-up, Dan joined the thredUP team in San Francisco and combined his previous Front-End experience with new Back-End Rails development. Dan has a BS in Computer Science Engineering from Michigan State University.

    A Northern California native, Angelica came to us after graduating from the Academy of Art University with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. She previously worked in retail management and was eager to jump into a Product role for thredUP. Angelica loves being a part of an innovative environment where she can wear many hats and have a direct impact on customer experience. You will find Angelica eating tacos daily, obsessing over style blogs, revamping vintage furniture in her down time or squealing about bulldogs.

    Stephanie Edwards-Musa

    A treehugger at heart from Spring, Tx, Stephanie dedicated herself to the sales, marketing and education of consumers about sustainable real estate. She wrote a course for her local college, sat on committees in the Houston area and blogged her way to being known as the 'green' Realtor. However, the daily routine of real estate found her wanting more time with the family. Joining thredUP combined her love for sustainability and online community. You can find her outdoors enjoying the beauty of nature and teaching her children the importance of respecting the simple things in life.

    Maxime is about to graduate from Ecole Centrale de Lille, a French computer science engineering school. He chose to do his final year internship abroad to experience new ways of working and to learn new technical skills. That led him to thredUP, where he's thrilled to work as a mobile and web developer.

    Heidi came to thredUP as a graduate of Northeastern University with a BS in Graphic Design. She moved to San Francisco with the company in the fall of the same year. Heidi began learning programming on the job and now spends her days as a front end coder and a budding Ruby on Rails developer.

    After graduating from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Kylie continued to build upon the software engineering foundation she acquired in school. She spent several years building computer network defense applications and communication systems for a large company. Although she thoroughly enjoyed her previous life, Kylie is thrilled to be a part of thredUP, getting to use the artistic side of her brain more, and helping to make thredUP even easier and more fun to use.

Besides thinking of creative ways to market thredUP to the moms of the world, she spends her time baking, eating, and living and breathing Giants baseball. Natalie joined thredUP as a recent graduate from the University of San Francisco with a BS in International Business and Multicultural Marketing.

    While finishing his studies as an Engineer in Computer Science in Northern France where he is from, Bastien decided to seize the opportunity to discover California and the whole start-up scene by doing his final-year internship at thredUP, where, as a web & mobile developer, he is lucky enough to happily get his hands dirty on different aspects of projects. In his free time, Bastien loves to watch movies and television series, listen to or play music, and, of course, travel.

She enjoys developing the Android app while also being eager to learn new things and grow as a developer. Shinta has a BS in Computer and Information Science from Ohio State University. Outside of her geekiness, she also loves to eat, bake, and travel.

    Samantha was raised in small town, Alabama where there's no shortage of southern hospitality. After attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham, she traded in her cowboy boots for flip flops and settled in on Florida's Gulf coast. Samantha stumbled upon thredUP in the fall of 2010, shortly after having her son, Mason, and she's been hooked ever since!

She graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in Early Childhood Education, and has been an early childhood educator for the last 12 years. She loves buying clothes for her children but it gets so expensive, she found thredUP and was instantly addicted. Jamie joined the thredUP customer service team for a new adventure. It is the perfect way for her to combine her love for children, children's clothes, and assisting others. She enjoys spending time in the beauty that is Montana, and as much time as possible with her family.

Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, he came to San Francisco curious to see what all this startup jazz was about, and hasn't left since. When not coding away, Syed enjoys playing his guitar, and destroying people at racquetball.

    Will loves discovering new things and enjoys problem-solving. While studying Computer Science in college, he joined the Army Reserves, which brought him all over the U.S. He was eventually deployed to Iraq, where he learned how to build computer networks. Upon returning from his adventures in Iraq, he finished his last year of college, married his best friend, and moved to San Francisco to develop enterprise software. While Will had a blast making enterprise software, he is enjoying creating something a little more personable.

    Charles started off as an actor for a few years in Los Angeles with a BA in Drama from the University of California Irvine. He then found his new passion in programming and obtained his MS in Computer Science from California State University Fullerton. Charles enjoys tackling new challenges, being a geek, and plays a darn good cylon at Battlestar Galactica the board game.

    Karen is an avid supporter of the initiative ThredUP is driving in the recommerce space. Prior to joining the team, she worked at Yahoo and Zynga in their finance divisions supporting marketing, global operations and game studios. Currently, she manages ThredUP's financials and analyzes data to help drive strategic decisions. In her spare time, Karen is an active musician volunteering at local nursing homes, loves to try new restaurants, and actively participates in the startup community here in San Francisco. Karen holds a B.S. from UCLA in Cognitive Science with a Specialization in Computing and a minor in Accounting.
