What does it mean to "build a box?"
When you build a box on thredUP, you are assembling items that your child has outgrown and putting them together to be picked by another member on the service. Building a box is really pretty simple. Tell us details about the clothes you have in our "Build a Box" form. No pictures required, no detailed itemization. Just a convenient way to swap the old for the new.
Prepare:
Sort your gently worn kids clothing by size and season.
Separate by clothing item type (tops and bottoms) and brand (if you'd like).
Get FREE boxes from the USPS (you can either pick up the boxes from your local post office or order them at USPS.com. Request box type O-FRB2.) – it's required that you have boxes in hand before you can list a box in the system.
Assemble your used kids clothing into groups to "stuff" the USPS boxes.
Build
