Our Team at thredUP

What started as a conversation over a beer on a napkin, turned into one of Cambridge's most promising start-ups. After receiving funding in June 2010, we relocated to San Francisco. The team keeps growing and we're lucky to have brought such a talented and motivated group of people together to make thredUP happen.

Rachel

Rachel Torimoto (Customer Service)

A self proclaimed computer nerd, Rachel is always on the lookout for a new project to add to her toolbelt. She is a Georgia native (let's hear it for the Southern gals!) and lives with her family in the suburbs of Atlanta. She has three children Andrew (8), Reese (3) and Ella (1) and met her husband online 14 years ago (before it was cool to admit it!). Rachel recently joined the thredUP team as a Customer Service Knitwit and loves having the chance to combine her passions for children, helping others, technology and thredUP! An avid reader, you'll find her curled up with her Kindle (maybe in a closet hiding from the kids) or at the park or lake with the family. If you ask her husband where to find her, he'll point to the lump under the mountains of coupons in her office, which is the newest project for her belt.
Jamie

Jamie Taylor (Customer Service)

Jamie is a proud Army wife, stay-at-home mother of 2, and currently a country girl living in a very, very small town in Montana. Because of her love for children she graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in Early Childhood Education, and has been an early childhood educator for the last 12 years. She also loves buying clothes for her children but it gets so expensive, she found thredUP and was instantly addicted. Jamie joined the thredUP customer service team for a new adventure. It is the perfect way for her to combine her love for children, children's clothes, and assisting others in their thredUP addiction. In her free time she enjoys spending time in the beauty that is Montana, and as much time as possible with her family.
Steph

Stephanie Edwards-Musa (Customer Service)

A treehugger at heart from Spring, Tx Stephanie for seven years dedicated herself to the sales, marketing and education of consumers about sustainable real estate. She wrote a course to teach at the local college, sat on multiple committees in the Houston area and blogged her way to being known as the 'green' Realtor ®. Being a member of thredUP combined her love for sustainability and online community. The daily routine of real estate found her wanting more time with the family and found it perfect to join the customer service team. When she is not online working you can find her outdoors enjoying the beauty of nature and teaching her children the importance of respecting the simple things in life.
Samantha

Samantha Smith (Customer Service)

Samantha was raised in small town, Alabama where there's no shortage of southern hospitality. After attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham, she traded in her cowboy boots for flip flops and settled in on Florida's Gulf coast. Samantha stumbled upon thredUP in the fall of 2010, shortly after having her son, Mason, and she's been hooked ever since!
