Football and fashion aren’t often grouped together, but we’re here to set the record straight — the two are not mutually exclusive! Fun fact: 45% of NFL fans are gals (we hear from Beyoncé that they also run the world). So we’ve come up with a few ideas to keep you stylish and festive during  football season. In case you’re running low on any of these must-haves, we’ve put together a curation of football-ready basics. Read on and get cozy.

footballSeries_3Cozy Party at Home: Hosting the game at your casa? Stock up your favorite beer, make some guacamole, and order a pizza. Done. Stay comfy but polished in an embellished sweatshirt, basic leggings, and festive slippers (that may or may not be reminiscent of your team’s mascot). Venturing out to the backyard? Sporty sunnies from Sunskis are your BFFs.

footballSeries_1Tailgating: There’s really no better way to spend a fall afternoon than at a tailgate. Look the part by sporting a varsity jacket in your team’s colors, some sturdy ankle boots, and a cozy wool baseball cap. P.S. We suggest bringing a (homemade) PSL to get the full fall effect, and to pep you up before the big game. P.P.S. Eyepatch for Oakland Raiders fans only!

footballSeries_2Sidelines: This is the perfect opportunity to look sporty, cute, and cozy all at once. Find a bright puffer vest in your team’s color to stay toasty and warm, pair it with your favorite skinny jeans, and throw on a beanie to top it off ( bonus points if the beanie is shaped like a helmet and matches your team). To really get festive, add an unexpectedly cool coozi to your keep your beer cold (and your hand warm!).

We all know that dressing for an event is essentially as important as the event itself, and a football game is an excellent excuse to for a new outfit. Up your game with these adorable fall pieces, and impress your fellow fans! What’s your favorite thing about football season?
