Break Out The Giant Scissors: Introducing Our Newest Distribution Center

share this:

Hello, Georgia!

Yesterday, July 26th, 2016, our Chief Operations Officer John Voris broke out his favorite pair of giant blue scissors to cut the ribbon on thredUP’s newest (our fourth!) Distribution Center in Duluth, Gwinnett County. We are so excited to be in Georgia!

Our fourth Distribution Center will create 300+ new jobs in the Duluth Area (read more about that here) and ensure even better service for thredUP customers who live in the southeastern region of the country. Woohoo!

Alba Barragan, thredUP’s nationwide Operations Training Manager, has been spending a lot of her time in Duluth training our newest team members.

We are looking forward to getting to know our new thredUP team members in the area, and we can’t wait to explore Duluth further (and eat tons of peaches, of course). Duluth was recently ranked 26th in Forbes’ Best Places to Move in America! Also very cool: in 1923, Georgia’s first female mayor, Alice Strickland, was elected in Duluth.

Scott Kelley, thredUP’s General Manager in the Atlanta area.

Thanks to everyone in Gwinnett County for welcoming us with open arms!
