As spring draws near, I love drawing inspiration from the latest designer trends in kids fashion. However, I don’t love paying high prices for these designer pieces.  Luckily, thredUP’s constantly refreshed inventory makes it easy to find the latest trends for your kids at the right price.

Take a look at the two designer looks pictured above: a $500 Chloé girls look and a $250 Burberry boys look.  Now I will show you how to recreate those looks using thredUP pieces for under $30 apiece!

800-girlsBright colored, slimfit jeans are huge this spring and what little girl wouldn’t want a pair in her favorite color?  Pair them with a crisp white top to make the color really pop. Toughen up the look with a motorcycle jacket for when the weather cools down. Finally, finish it all off with a cool pair of sneakers.

800-boysFresh stripes and bright plaids are always major components of boys’ spring collections, but have you ever considered combining the two patterns in one outfit?  It sounds crazy, but the key is in choosing two patterns with a similar color scheme and print scale.  Print mixing can be found in countless designers’ 2013 spring lookbooks and is a look that can easily be recreated using more budget-friendly pieces from thredUP{.  Layer a striped short-sleeve tee under a plaid button down and then pair with chinos and loafers for a laidback look that can transition from school to outdoor adventures!

What’s your favorite kids brand?  For a chance to win a $10 thredUP credit, comment below and include a link to a thredUP item in your favorite kids brand!  We’ll announce the winner tomorrow (2/14) AM.
