Merry Making: How To Renew Old Ornaments
Welcome to thredUP’s Merry Making series! This holiday season, we’re all about celebrating with (re)purpose. That means getting festive with repurposed materials, resulting in a happier planet, wallet, and you! Place an order today for a free Merry Making guide, and read on for how to make this adorable wrapping paper with items you have around the house.
YOU WILL NEED:
- -Old ornaments
- -Acrylic paint
- -Mod Podge
- -Fine paint brushes
- -Plate (for the paint and Mod Podge)
1. Grab an ornament! Paint a pattern on it using the fine paintbrushes. Start with the bottom of the ornament.
2. Let dry. Place on the first side you painted, which will be almost dry by now.
3. Cover with Mod Podge.
4. Let dry.
5. Once dry, tie a little twine into the metal part of the ornament. It’s a softer, prettier alternative to ornament hooks!
