Win A $200 Shopping Spree! Re-Style The Runway, Your Way
What comes to mind when you think of Fashion Week? Here at thredUP, it’s an exciting time — we’re constantly refreshing our Instagram feeds, and our team of editors are already at work checking out the trends and applying them to what we buy.
In fact, we’ve identified four trends we love and curated collections so you can shop those trends now — you don’t need to buy new (or buy couture for that matter!) to look fresh and tap into the trends.
Our editors compiled one Pinterest board for each of these trends to get our creative juices flowing as we curated each of these collections. Help us add more pins to our boards (and enter to win!) by doing the following:
- Head over to Pinterest and click “Follow” (if you haven’t already!).
- Add a Pin to your profile and include #ReStyleTheRunway, @thredUP and the trend represented.
- “Send” us your Pin! Click “Send” on your pin and type in nyfw@thredUP.com.
Black + White: Black and white and cool all over. There’s a reason why this combo pops up on the runways year after year – this week, we loved Milly and Carolina Herrera’s minimal looks (that had maximum impact). Punch up this trend by adding some texture – think pony hair booties, cut-outs, pleather, and lace. Check out our Pinterest board for more inspiration and then get shopping!
Bohemian Vibes: This year, our editors took notice of fringe, suede, long hair in loose waves, soft colors, and maxi dresses at Rachel Zoe’s show. We love the approachability (and comfort) that comes with the boho trend. Shop our edit now to pick up faves from brands like Free People and Joie. And check out our Pinterest board for boho vibes that transcend the realm of clothes – get inspired by easygoing recipes, magical decorating schemes, and more.
Neutral Wonders: At Derek Lam, we swooned over the huge variety of cream colored dresses; our takeaway? Textured neutrals are having a moment; chunky knits, embellished mini dresses, and soft cashmere maxis set the tone of the show. Try the trend yourself by heading to our curation and selecting a head-to-toe neutral look and mixing materials (e.g. an open stitch linen sweater with fine knit wool trousers and patent leather flats). Check out our neutrals Pinterest board for more ideas!
Beautiful Botanicals: You probably guessed that florals are always in for both spring and fall, but the latest iteration of an always-chic floral print? Botanicals. Basically, you still have that soft floral vibe inspired by nature’s bounty, but now these prints are more lush — they feature more greenery and leaves. Think palm fronds, succulent prints, etc. – check out our Pinterest board for more inspo. Our curation is also ready-to-shop!
UPDATE: Our winner was Pinterest user Amy Evans! Her winning pin, repinned to our Boho board, has us inspired to rock loose pigtails and bellbottoms. Congrats, Amy!
