Style Expert: Chandamheer Stacker of Pancake Stacker
Her blog‘s name makes our mouths water, but it’s Chandamheer Stacker’s effortlessly cool style that’s the syrup on our short stack. Just don’t ask her to define it. “I always go back and forth on how I describe my style. Of late, I think of it as ‘urban glam’. I’m often found in flats and beanies, but I love dressing up that casualness with my beauty routine; I think of makeup as the ultimate accessory.” It’s no surprise, then, that Chanda spends her days as the Social Media Coordinator for ipsy, a beauty startup. “I love beauty and social media, so it hardly feels like a job!” she says.
When she’s not online, you can find Chanda at home in SF’s Marina neighborhood, which she loves for its soothing waterside setting. “I love listening to the fog horn. It’s great being in a part of the city where I can take a break from hustle and bustle.” It also puts her in the center of the action in SF’s bustling food scene, as her many delicious-looking Instagram photos can attest. Here are three outfits chosen by Chanda that reflect her busy, fun urban lifestyle.
Maxi maven: “Maxis are perfect for SF– even when the weather is sunny, you never know when the wind will kick in,” says Chanda. This Peace Love World maxi skirt is a closet essential with its cool black-and-white design, and pairs nicely with a fun Nasty Gal top, which Chanda says she likes to knot in the front for a more fitted look. Add in a pair of classic Ray-Ban aviators and some studded Forever 21 flats, and you’ve got a comfy-but-cool look ideal for brunch with friends.
Rocking out: Like most San Franciscans, Chanda is already looking forward to Outside Lands, the city’s biggest summer music festival. “The optimist in me hopes for 80 degree weather,” she says, and these Elizabeth & James shortalls (“I love the texture”) are just the ticket for dancing all day long. Layered over another quirky muscle tee from Lulu’s and paired with foot-friendly Soludos flats, it’s the perfect ensemble for all-day trotting between stages.
Cool and crisp: The mercury may read otherwise in chilly SF, but Chanda’s got summer on the brain with a crisp black-and-white ensemble of Guess jean shorts, a flowy ivory Lulu’s top, and Soludos espadrilles. “On a warm city day, I’d love to wear this outfit to Dolores Park.”
