About the Role

As the Influencer Marketing Strategist, you will lead the day-to-day management of our influencer partnerships to drive brand awareness and new customer acquisition. The influencer channel is one of the fastest growing acquisition channels and a material element of thredUP’s growth program. We are building the team, technology and process to be world class. We are looking for a results-oriented, analytical, and creative marketer to support and grow the influencer marketing channel. This role is part of the Growth Marketing team and will report to the Senior Manager of Influencer Marketing. 
This role will work closely with the Senior Manager to source talent, execute and optimize influencer campaigns across multiple channels. The position requires the ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions while being creative. You will be managing multiple campaigns at once and will excel at being detail oriented and staying organized with the ability to move quickly. You will need a strong understanding of social media and the evolving trends of influencer marketing. The role will work cross functionally and communicate with internal teams such as brand, product and engineering, as well as external partners on campaign efforts. You will also have regular contact and exposure with the President of thredUP and have the potential to grow and advance in the organization. 

*thredUP is relocating to Oakland in Fall '19. This role will be expected to work in SF until then.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously identify new influencers/talent while deepening existing relationships and building brand loyalty. 
  • Assist in the entire campaign management process, from talent negotiation to briefing to campaign creation to content review to execution, across multiple platforms including YouTube, Instagram, Blogs, Podcasts, and more. 
  • Manage day-to-day communication with networks, agencies, and vendors. 
  • Track, measure and analyze performance across all campaigns and make strategic optimizations to achieve and exceed growth KPIs.
  • Partner with internal teams such as design, product and engineering on growth initiatives, improving our customer experience, landing page creation and more.  
  • Be an expert on the latest social media and influencer trends and tools, providing recommendations on new channels to test and develop new ways of partnering with influencers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-4 years of marketing experience, experience in influencer marketing is preferred.
  • Preferred candidates will have experience working in dynamic e-commerce and digital marketplace environments that are data and tech driven. 
  • 4-year college degree from a top institution.
  • You can balance the right and left side of your brain. You have a strong analytical mindset, are detail oriented while also being able to think creatively. 
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Blogs, etc.) and passionate about influencers.  
  • Experience in a performance data environment and driving results via paid marketing. Basic understanding of standard media metrics (CPA, CPV, CTR).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, exceeds in relationship building.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, resourceful in achieving success in the face of ambiguity and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
