Old Navy is an American clothing company owned by Gap Inc. Old Navy originally started out as Gap Warehouse. However, the name changed to Old Navy in March 1994 to help create a separate image from its parent company. Executives got the name from a bar in Paris. That same month, the first stores to open under the new Old Navy name were in northern California.
Old Navy grew quickly, and by 2000 the company opened 500 stores. In 2001, Old Navy also began to expand overseas. Today, Old Navy sees sales that nearly equal those of Gap Inc.'s other two divisions, Gap and Banana Republic, combined.
Putting Together a Workout Outfit
No matter where you exercise and what type of weather you face when you do it, Active by Old Navy can help you put together the perfect outfit. If you exercise in a gym or the weather outside is warm, you can start your outfit with Old Navy workout tops that are either short-sleeve or sleeveless. The loose fabric will help you stay cool and comfortable even when you start to work up a sweat. Match with a pair of running shorts from Gap Fit and your favorite sneakers, and you're ready to go.
Even when the weather starts to cool down, you don't have to stop exercising outside. Slip on a pullover or hoodie over your workout top to keep you comfortable until you begin to warm up. When you start to feel too warm, simply take it off and you can keep on going. You can also choose a pair of Old Navy workout pants that match your top to keep your legs warm while you're exercising.
Also Good for Casual Days
Women’s activewear are also ideal for days when you plan on doing nothing more than relaxing around the house. To make an outfit for your casual day, start with a sports bra in your favorite color or pattern. Next, pick out a workout top. You can go for something bold and bright, or you can choose a simple and neutral color.
After that, decide what type of pants you'd like to wear. While you can opt for Old Navy athletic pants, these workout tops also look great when paired with a similar brand, such as yoga pants from Athleta. Consider going for pants in a solid color like black to match any top you pick out.
Whether you're going for a run or simply taking it easy at home, Active by Old Navy offers the clothing you need to feel comfortable. Shop the like-new styles at thredUP, and find your next favorite piece.
