Dad sneakers. They’re sporty, chunky, possibly brightly colored, and more importantly, comfy as heck. But what can you pair them with when you don’t exactly want to dress like a typical dad (even though Dadcore is definitely still a thing)? No need to stock up on cargo shorts or chinos. This type of kicks is definitely more versatile than you might think.
Flowy midi dresses and midi skirts are at the top of my list to rock with dad sneaks. Not only is it an easy pairing, a dress like this mixed polka dot is the perfect length to show off the sneakers. The neutral colors let the teal of the shoes really pop, too.
If the sneakers you’re dealing with are more neutral, don’t be afraid to play with color in your outfit or go for a monochrome neutral palette. You’ve got lots of possibilities to play with. Just remember to keep your skirts and dresses mid-calf length so you don’t hide the shoes.
What about jeans? Relaxed fit jeans that are rolled at the bottom or cropped are best to showcase the kicks. Avoid denim that pools at the ankle to keep the look just a little cleaner.
