It’s raining, it’s pouring, and the coat section of my closet is officially in full effect. As someone who describes their style as polished streetwear, colder weather always makes that oh-so apparent. One of my favorite items to thrift this time of year? Coats!
Today, I reached for this reversible brown coat with a woven tartan pattern on one side. Usually, I wear the tartan on the outside, but I opted for this plaid long-sleeve polo and didn’t want to overdo it with patterns. Plus, keeping the woven side on the inside makes it so much warmer—anemic girlies, stand up! Believe it or not, I put zero planning into this outfit.
I love a long-sleeve polo (I probably own 10). That was my next grab: a greenish-brown one that, in my mind, was close enough color-wise. I paired it with my thrifted Étoile Isabel Marant jeans—easily in my top three favorite finds. They’re baggy but just tapered enough to work with everything.
For shoes, my brown leather boat shoes were the obvious choice. Clearly, I’m going for a brown-on-brown-on-brown vibe here. They’re easy to slip on, and I could NOT be bothered with any laces today.
